What each creator deliverable status means

Understand the Collabcy delivery status workflow and the action each state represents for creators and brands.

A deliverable status describes the current operational state of one piece of campaign work. Use the status to communicate the next action; keep the client requirements and version history as the source of truth for what the work must contain.

Status definitions

  • Planned: the deliverable is agreed but work has not started.
  • In progress: production or preparation is underway.
  • Review: the work is ready for the brand or client to review.
  • Approved: the client has accepted the current version.
  • Revision requested: changes are required before approval.
  • Published: the deliverable is live; the first transition records its publication date.
  • Cancelled: the deliverable will not proceed under the current collaboration.

Choose the next status

  1. 1Use Planned when the scope is confirmed but production has not begun.
  2. 2Use In progress as soon as the creator is actively producing or preparing the content.
  3. 3Use Review when the current version is ready for client feedback.
  4. 4Use Approved when the client accepts the version without further changes.
  5. 5Use Revision requested when the client has identified required changes.
  6. 6Use Published only after the content is live, and Cancelled only when the work is no longer expected to ship.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use Approved or Published after client approval?

Use Approved when the client has accepted the content but it is not live yet. Use Published after it has actually gone live.

What happens if a published deliverable is edited later?

The original publication date remains available. Updating the status later does not remove the first date the deliverable entered Published.
